Communication is key to getting the job done and being in Gearr, in the right place at the right time.
Tech usage is essential for the drivers because the work can change up to two hours before they start. Delaying their start to by 2 hours for example but their finish time will always be the same but if not earlier, which is always a bonus.
In our first week, two shifts were cancelled and it was communicated to the driver’s via the app but they still get paid in full.
We have a great renovated transport office which provides the drivers with light refreshments for before, during and after their shifts. We have also provided hot drink reusable cups and cold drinks bottles to enhance their working shift.
We take feedback from the drivers because they are the ones experiencing the working week out on the road. If there is something we can do to more their day/night easier or more enjoyable we will try our best.
